UnaHotels Trastevere
Hospitality – Reuse
The project tackles the transformation of an existing building, formerly used as police station and housing, into a 4 star hotel. The 5000sqm building, positioned in the heart of the Trastevere district, was built at the beginning of the XX century with a load bearing bricks system. This aspect has strongly influenced both the study and the design phases. After an initial geometric and structural survey, several layouts have been developed according to the standards requested by different potential lessees. Our office, in collaboration with different professionals, has been following the project since its early phases, through the stip-out and up to the detailed design for construction.
