Auditorium Bagheria

The project proposes the construction of an Auditorium to serve Bagheria's and local educational institutions with about 1,000 indoor seats and a grandstand for outdoor performances with about 650 seats. It also proposes the construction of sports equipment and landscaping of the area for recreational and entertainment activities. The goal of the project is to create an attractive hub, capable of becoming a catalyst of urban life for the city of Bagheria.

Underlying the design of the new complex is the intention to pursue aspects such as inclusion in the context of a new polarity, environmental sustainability, the composition of a shared cultural and sports center and, above all, the organization of a facility that can give the neighborhood greater urban quality. In this way, the goal is to contribute to the social redevelopment of the area and the improvement of the quality of life for both school users and the entire citizenry.

The new cultural and sports activities hub, shows itself as an intervention capable of completing and integrating the planned citadel of education: the proposal includes the construction of a new pedestrian avenue that horizontally crosses the entire lot and directly connects all the polarities of the area:

- the existing high schools (located to the west);

- the planned School including library, cafeteria and gymnasium;

- the new outdoor sports spaces;

- the new Auditorium and the cavea - open-air grandstand.
