Fai Bene School

Educational – Landscape

The new Primary School in via Verenin Grazia, the first element of the future school complex that will include three teaching cycles (infant, primary and secondary), is conceived as a new territorial centrality with the vocation of becoming an instrument capable of fostering integration between children and the entire community.

The building, which is developed on a single above-ground floor, is characterised by a strong directionality aimed at guaranteeing the best possible exposure for teaching and daytime activities.
Oriented on an east-west layout, the building guarantees optimal sunshine in the classrooms during the morning hours and correct exposure of the other rooms during the afternoon hours.
The peculiar morphology of the body of the building, in addition to favouring correct exposure of the rooms, is intended to be inspired by the conformation of the Rimini coastline characterised by the arrangement of the diagonal breakwaters over most of the waterfront development.
This reference, strongly linked to the morphology of the territory, gives the school structure recognisability and puts it in close relation with the place where it will rise, without denying the industrial vocation of the surrounding area.
