Exhibition of the NIB Prize 2017

The NPO NEW ITALIAN BLOOD has been promoting an annual award since 2009 for the best Italian architects and landscape designers under 36. Aut Aut Architettura, winner of the architecture section, curated the setup of the Rome stage of the traveling exhibition showcasing the works of the 20 young talents selected for the two categories for the 2017 edition. The project is situated in the evocative outdoor spaces of the Ex Mattatoio in Rome, now home to the Faculty of Architecture of Roma Tre University. The suspended installation recalls the building's former function and utilizes its picturesque metal structures as support. A system of 2 shaped wooden panels distinguishes the two categories of the award. The event was included in the Open House Roma program, and the installation was widely appreciated by both the public and the press.
